Sella Ronda
I woke up this morning hungry as always and asked the legs if they felt like doing some more climbing. They didn’t completely refuse and the thought of spectacular scenery on roads without motorised traffic was too much to resist. I am so pleased that I decided to do the ride as it was one of the best experiences I have had on a bike. I was concerned about the potential hazards from a concentration of competitive cyclists, but the event had a lovely, friendly atmosphere with hardly any macho bad behaviour. The worst cyclist I encountered was a lady dressed in pink on an e-bike who was apparently incapable of riding in a straight line. There were cyclists of all ages, shapes and sizes on a huge variety of bikes.

I rode with Alison and we had so much fun with numerous photo stops.

We had a coffee stop just before the start of the last pass watching all the cyclists zooming down the hill. Craig had a beer then flew past us on the climb, I waited until we got back!
My body may well sulk tomorrow at the lack of a rest day but it was a fabulous experience.
It was a circular route over four passes so plenty of climbing for the legs to complain about.
