Belluno to Treviso
What a difference it makes waking up to sunshine..
Another daft don’t touch the buffet breakfast but I managed to fill my tummy (again). The ride today was a proper ‘journey’ out of the Dolomites, through Prosecco vineyards and into the Po valley.
There were a few more cheeky climbs this morning with spectacular views back to the mountains.

The final climb up the Passo San Boldo was followed by a spectacular descent through hairpin bends and tunnels.

It then felt like we had arrived in actual Italy, with rolling vineyard covered hills and picturesque villages.

Lunch was in a restaurant with a delicious pear and cheese salad followed by a risotto. Ideally this would have been accompanied by a chilled glass of wine and followed by a nap but there were still 20 miles left to ride!

Navigating through the centre of Treviso kept me awake but once we had arrived at the out of town business hotel, I lay down on the very comfy bed and conked out. Dinner was back in the city centre and I decided to kick start myself awake by walking for 30 mins instead of getting a lift in the van. Treviso is a very smart, wealthy looking city with canals and beautifully restored buildings.

Oo look more carbs…
